So I got sent to the dean today for wearing this top. My study tech teacher said that I was “exploiting” myself and that it could be a distraction to the other students. I got up out of my seat and told her that I wasn’t going to listen to her dress codes. In a way, she was being misogynist and slut shaming and I think that’s wrong. I will continue to wear what I want and nobody can tell me not to. The fact that womens bodies are sexualized and objectified so much angers me and that’s the reason why this happened. I’m going to wear what I want, how I want, when I want and that’s it.

I was there, reblog the shit out of this guys

I’m a guy. I can’t wear a shirt like this either, even though I’m not going to be wearing a bra. it’s dress code. It’s not slut shaming. You can’t show your bra like that at most jobs. why should you at school? Yes sexism is wrong and all that, but you can’t get ‘angry at the patriarchy” because you can’t show your undergarments in public. I’m not going to wear jeans with a rip in the side  or the front that show off my flowery boxers, because that’s just not appropriate for school. Have some professionalism. You can wear whatever you like at home or with your friends or whatever, yes, but school prepares you for real life.

At work you can’t have this attitude of “I wear the fuck ever I want.” and expect to keep your job. School is the same way because it’s trying to teach you that lesson. That’s unrealistic; almost any job you get is going to have someone tell you what to wear or what to do because you work for them and you represent their company. If you don’t look the way they need you to look, that makes them look bad. A tattoo parlor probably isn’t going to hire someone who dresses like a nun and a top company isn’t going to hire someone who comes to work in a tank top that shows off her bra or a guy that shows off his ballsack.

You can’t blame patriarchy for this, I’m sorry. You can’t blame sexism for this. If I wore booty shorts and you could almost see my balls through my semi transparent flowery goddamn boxers, I would get in the same amount of trouble as you, and it’s within good reason.

Bam.

THIS.

Is no one going to mention this guy’s taste in floral panties?

Poor Richard's News: HILARIOUS VIDEO! Ted Cruz's floor speech drips with sarcasm as he addresses Harry Reid's name calling

“Mr. President, I rise today in praise of Majority Leader Harry Reid…”

Yesterday, Senator Harry Reid attempted to suspend regular order and send the Senate’s budget to conference by unanimous consent.  Senator Ted Cruz objected, seeking a promise from Reid that he would not use the conference as an opportunity to pass tax increases or a debt ceiling increase through reconciliation (which would only require a simple majority). His hand caught in the cookie jar, Senator Reid did the only thing he could do: accuse Ted Cruz of being “a schoolyard bully.”

Today, Senator Cruz rose to speak to the Senate.  His address is bone-dry humor and simply hilarious.

Here’s the video:

Man, I love Ted Cruz! There’s a good reason why Democratic strategist James Carville said, “I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years.”

Safe sex doesn’t always work. it could ruin their lives. Guns actually have a purpose. to protect yourself. I hate these. :P

I might actually point out that intelligent parents don’t want the schools teaching children about either of these things.  It is the responsiblity of parents to teach gun safety and the self control and rational behavior that are required to come with them.  So there is no inconsistency here because good parents don’t want public schools to teach either.  Further intelligent parents also teach their children about the dangers and responsibilities (both physical and psychological) that come with sex which is why intelligent parents tend to teach their children abstinence because it is the only 100% effective way to ensure that a child does not do something stupid, just as gun safety is the only way to ensure a child doesn’t do something stupid (and yes I am call having sex while a teenage stupid, incredibly stupid, because no teenage is ready to handle the emotional baggage that comes with it…because let’s be honest here, most adult aren’t mature enough to handle the responsibility of sex).  Also genius liberals, it’s the 21st century with or without sex ed I doubt there’s a teenager out there for whom education would do anything who hasn’t used the internet to find the basics…yes there are some dumb students out there who are hopelessly ignorant of the basics of safety, but what, those students are the kind who tend not to listen to anything taught to them in the classroom anyway.
